Visit Sialkot: Planning a factory visit - Tata Surgical at MEDICA 2026, Düsseldorf

MEDICA is often the first meeting with a supplier. For buyers planning large or long-term orders, the next step is a factory visit to Sialkot. Seeing production with your own eyes is the best proof of quality and capacity.

Why visit

  • See the real size and condition of the factory
  • Watch each production step: forging, machining, heat treatment, polishing and inspection
  • Meet the quality team and see the records
  • Check the clean room and packing area
  • Build a personal relationship with the owners

Getting there

Sialkot has its own international airport (SKT), with flights from the Gulf and major Pakistani cities. Many visitors also fly into Lahore, about two to three hours away by road.

Visa

Most visitors need a visa for Pakistan. Many nationalities can apply online for a business visa. Your supplier can provide a letter of invitation. Check the current rules on Pakistan’s official visa portal.

What to check during the visit

  • Raw material storage and certificates
  • Forging and machining equipment
  • Heat treatment process and records
  • Polishing and passivation
  • Final inspection: how many items are checked
  • Clean room and sterile packing area
  • Finished goods storage
  • Complaint and return records

How long to stay

Two to three days is usually enough to visit your main supplier and one or two others.
